Gelli Plate Eco-printing – great for beginning or advanced printmakers and painters. We will use locally sourced materials from our gardens and the beach! We will be working with gelli plates, acrylic paints and natural fibers and plant materials. Students will learn how to add watercolor to their prints once they have dried, for a subtle, elegant layer of color.
Materials: gelli plates will be provided, but if you have some, please bring them. Acrylic paints and brushes. Smooth and thinner papers that are good for hand printmaking, such as rice papers, Masa paper, BFK Lightweight, etc. We will have some papers available, too. Bring some watercolors to work back into the prints, brushes and jars for water. (Class Fee available on CAC’s website.)
